The Black Mountain Swannanoa Chamber Foundation supports local businesses, artists, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits through community partnerships, small business assistance, and nonprofit support, helping to build a resilient and thriving Valley.
Building Back Stronger After Hurricane Helene
In September 2024, Hurricane Helene devastated the Valley, flooding local businesses, displacing families, and destroying much of our commercial corridor. In the aftermath, the Black Mountain Swannanoa Chamber Foundation has led recovery efforts, connecting small businesses to emergency funding, coordinating community rebuilding initiatives, and laying the groundwork for long-term economic revitalization.
But recovery is just the beginning. Not only do we work with small businesses, but we also partner with nonprofits, helping to identify gaps, address challenges, and foster stronger collaboration across the community. This allows us to build a stronger, more resilient Valley, where local businesses thrive, nonprofits are supported, families are cared for, and economic growth benefits everyone.
Together, we’re turning recovery into renewal.
Support Our Work
The Valley is home to hard-working people, bold ideas, and a deep-rooted community spirit. The Black Mountain Swannanoa Chamber Foundation is here to help that spirit thrive through small business support, nonprofit collaboration, local partnerships, and inclusive economic growth—but we can’t do it alone.
Whether you’re a neighbor, business owner, artist, or community ally, there’s a role for you in building a stronger, more resilient Valley.
